The action is designed by: Ulqini Youth Club Members

The project “Youth empowerment for Man and Biosphere Reserve” is implemented by NGO Environment programme (EnvPro) in partnership with Environmental center for Development Education and Networking (EDEN center) and financially supported by UNESCO Participation Programme 2020-2021 with the support of National Commission for UNESCO in Montenegro, Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

SUMMARY OF THE ACTION

Youth Club wants that through this one-day activity, to announce through the media the community, institutions, associations and the youth club of Shkodra to join us in the event created by the Youth Club “Let’s Unite for Buna”, in the framework of project “Youth empowerment for Man and Biosphere reserve” implemented by the association EnvPro and funded by UNESCO.

The purpose of the activity is to touch or contact the Buna space, starting from the beautiful view of the Fraskanjeli point, the counting and observing of birds and SUPboarding on Lake Shas.

The SUPboarding equipment will be provided and the bird watching equipment will be provided by Reborn by Adventures.

During this one-day activity, a direct contact will be achieved with the potencials of the biosphere of the Buna River, talking about the activities undertaken so far at the youth club through this project and about the possibilities for the sustainable development and preservation of this space in continuity.

The Youth Club will present the importance of protecting the Buna biosphere for sustainability and for future generations as well as the activation of the Club in this aspect.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTION

These activities are important because young people will be given the opportunity to express their ideas and capacities in protecting the Buna biosphere, in sustainable development that benefits the community and nature. To create space for collaborations, recognizing the potential of Buna space.

All these activities will present the harmony and solidarity between the generations, the commitment of the community, as well as the sustainable cooperation of nature and man.

• State the aim of the event

The purpose of the activities is to prove the potential of the Buna space, to develop new perspectives for sustainable tourism based on nature and community and good practice in this regard, harmony and cooperation between generations for a better and sustainable future, the introduction of organic and sustainable solutions and presentation to the public of the work of Youth Club so far in cooperation with NGO EnvPro.

• Describe shortly the activities of the event

 

Activities:

-Experience from the beautiful view of Fraskanjel from the observation point in Fraskanjel, where you can see the space and the flow of the river Buna.

– Activity on Lake Shas with SUP boards, walk and talk, experience of natural values.

– Observation and counting of birds in Lake Shas with Reborn by Adventures.

– Refreshments – seasonal fruits and water.

Workshop:

• Presentation of the Youth Club and activities of the Club in the project “Youth empowerment for Man and Biosphere reserve” implemented by the association EnvPro and funded by UNESCO
• Presentation on the values of the Buna River and the potential for sustainable development of the Buna River region.
• Visit of the Etnografic museum on Dragina, presentation of cultural and traditional values of the Bune river region from the owner of the museum.
• Lunch with traditional foods prepared by local ladie Zana, also a participant on the NGO “Tastes of Ulqin” and

– Through local media and social networks to disseminate information to the general public about the commitment and ideas of young people related to the project “Youth empowerment for Man and Biosphere reserve” implemented by the association EnvPro and funded by UNESCO.

Preliminary invitation of the public on social media to participate in the event “Let’s Unite for Buna” created by the Youth Club.

Direct invitation: Municipality of Ulcinj, Museum of Ulqin, Cultural Centar, local non-governmental organizations, local television “Teuta”, highschool club “Iuvenis”, etc. UNESCO Nat Com, Ministry of Ecology.

• List the expected outputs of the event

Expected results:

– Open opportunities for cooperation

– wider perspective around the Buna space.

– benefiting the community and opening new perspectives

• State and explain the target groups of the event
• Youth Club and young people and families – Youth Club will develop a higher awareness of the Buna River space, and they will be carriers of information to their friends and family.
• Locals- the locals will be engaged and will benefit from our activities, in this way it will be a hopeful practice for them, that things can work in a very beautiful way.
